It all started in 1922, when one Mussie Hal established St. George Brewery in Addis Ababa, the heart of Ethiopia. Inspired by both the beers of Europe and the rich, unique flavours of the African continent, Hal created St George - an exotic version of European pale lagers.
Through every political upheaval, St George has stayed true to itself; not just as a beer, but as a cornerstone of the Ethiopian community.
